Prokopios Krikris is a maritime professional with expertise in pre-fixture and post-fixture operations, commercial management, claims handling, and arbitration. Over the course of his career, he has held key leadership roles—including Operations Manager, Claims Executive, Post-Fixture Claims Manager, and Legal Director—demonstrating a strong track record in resolving complex disputes and overseeing operational matters for global fleets.
He has advised chartering teams on clause drafting during negotiations, supported operations departments on day-to-day commercial and technical issues, and attended numerous onboard repairs involving structural damages (collision, grounding, explosion, rudder damage, engine damage, cargo pumps), cargo operations alongside, and hold-cleaning procedures( member of a cleaning gang). His experience spans bulk carriers, tankers, and oil-trading contracts.
He has participated in more than 50 arbitration proceedings (35 LMAA arbitrations from 2023-2025), acting either as party representative or expert or arbitrator—serving either as sole arbitrator or as a member of tribunals. His caseload includes charterparty disputes, bills of lading, MoA, and cargo claims, reflecting his understanding of maritime law and commercial practice.
