1. More than 15 years of commercial experience in chartering, operations, post-fixture matters, and claims handling for bulk carriers and tankers, working for Owners and Charterers.​

 

2. Day-to-day involvement in commercial operations, freight collection, insurance matters, management of back-to-back disputes, and contract drafting issues arising during fixture negotiations.

 

3. Additional experience as an independent consultant in charterparty-related matters.

 

4. Early onboard experience as part of a cleaning gang (holds cleaning), followed by involvement in casualty cases and vessel operations. This included a grounding and subsequent collision during an STS refloating operation, resulting in significant repairs and related claims.

 

5.Practical experience with vessel operations and onboard matters, including structural damage incidents such as collisions, groundings, and machinery failures, as well as cargo operations, dry-docking, and survey attendance, including operational involvement by staying in West Africa.

 

6. Academic background includes Maritime Studies (MSc), Maritime Law (LLM with distinction), Contract and Tort Law (postgraduate qualification with first class), Maritime Arbitration (Dip CIArb UK), Lloyds' certifications in laytime, marine paints and ship operations, and ongoing studies in Naval Architecture.

 

7. Progressed through senior positions including Operations Manager, Claims Manager, and Legal Director.

8.Participated in more than 60 arbitration proceedings, as a sole arbitrator or a member of the tribunal, involving disputes under charterparties, sale contracts, MOAs, COAs, and Bills of Lading.
